A wooden launch crossing the turquoise water of an alpine lake beneath pale limestone peaks and spruce forest.

Calma Boatworks · Toblach, South Tyrol

Leave only
the ripple.

Electric launches in larch and recycled aluminium, built for the alpine lakes where an engine is no longer welcome.

01 — Why electric

Braies, Carezza, Misurina, Anterselva. On more alpine lakes every summer, a combustion engine is simply not allowed. We build the boats that are, and we build them so you would choose them anyway.

03 — How we build

Built like a rowing boat. Driven like nothing you can hear.

  1. 01

    Larch over aluminium

Steam-bent Siberian larch planks, laid over a frame cut from recycled aluminium. The wood is what you touch; the frame is what lasts.

  2. 02

    A pod, not an outboard

The motor sits sealed below the waterline, turning a slow, wide propeller. No exhaust, no transom bracket, nothing to hear above the water.

  3. 03

    Battery in the keel

Iron-phosphate cells laid along the keel line lower the centre of gravity, so the boat sits stiller than its wooden ancestors ever did.

  4. 04

    Charged from the shore

Every Calma ships with a jetty post that charges from a standard socket, or from the boathouse roof if you have the panels.

04 — 2027 build slots

Seven hulls a year.
Three left for 2027.

Each Calma is built to order over fourteen weeks and delivered to your lake on our own trailer, with the jetty post installed the same afternoon.
