Atlas of built work · 2019–2027

Nine sites.
Nine climates.
One drawing table.

We are a twelve-person studio in Lisbon. Every building starts the same way — a year of weather data pinned to the wall — and ends somewhere the weather is nothing like ours.

How a Lisbon studio builds in the Arctic

37 420m²

built or building since 2019 — from a 260 m² chapel to 212 homes on a coal quay.

8 760h

of local weather modelled for every site before the first sketch: one full year, hour by hour.

14 200km

from our table to the furthest site in Hobart. We spend the first month there, not here.

i. Read the year

Sun path, rain, snow load and wind rose go on one sheet. The plan is drawn on top of it, never beside it.

ii. Build with what is there

Earth in Marrakesh, lava stone in Reykjavík, cedar in Nagano. Imported material is a last resort we have to justify.

iii. Partner, then stay

Each site has a local architect of record and a builder we visit after handover — twice a year, for ten years.
